🕯️ Candle Care & Safety Instructions
for glass, tin & crete candles
At Candle and Crete, each candle is hand-poured with care to bring warmth, fragrance, and beauty into your space. To ensure a safe and satisfying burn, please take a moment to review the following instructions.
🔥 How to Burn Your Candle Beautifully
1. Trim the Wick Before Each Use
Keep your wick trimmed to 5mm before each burn. This prevents smoking, uneven flames, and sooting.
2. Let It Reach a Full Melt Pool
Allow the candle to burn until the entire surface becomes liquid (approx. 2–3 hours on first burn). This prevents tunneling and extends burn time.
3. Do Not Burn for More Than 4 Hours at a Time
For safety and optimal scent performance, limit each burn to 3–4 hours. Let the wax cool completely before relighting.
4. Keep the Wax Clean
If any debris, wick trimmings, or matches fall into the wax, remove them before lighting.
5. Stop Use When 1cm of Wax Remains
Discontinue burning when there's only 1cm of wax at the bottom to avoid overheating the vessel.
⚠️ Candle Safety Guidelines
-
Always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface.
-
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
-
Keep away from drafts, curtains, and anything flammable.
-
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
-
Do not move the candle while the wax is hot or the flame is burning.
